Car is basically excellent condition. Used Mobil Delvac 1 Synthetic for all oil changes, premium diesel, etc. It was recently in a car show, won "outstanding car in class" award.

Best offer i got for my Jetta from a dealer was 17,000.
I know it sucks, but you will be lucky to get 25,000 even on a private sale.

Umm by any chance did you crash your car? I was offered 19,500 for a 1.8T newbeetle that had been destroyed and built up from $20,000 worth of damages, that quote you got must have come from something.

I sold a 2001 golf 4-door turbo last summer with 30,000kms on it, loaded, two sets of wheels and a couple of minor mods and I got 23 for it, so I don't think there is anyway you will get 30 mods or not. For 30 I can walk into 5th Ave and get a brand new jetta wagon tdi with leather and luxury.

Nope, never been in an accident. Dealers just nail you on Trades... Most jetta 1.8t's sell privatly for ~25,000

I bought my '02 Jetta 1.8T in January for $26k, totally loaded, transferred a 5y warranty from previous owner, 34K kms on it... I think I got a fair price. Least I hope so. Don't tell me different, shatter my illusions.
