Carbon Fiber Boser!

So heres the deal.
I got this hood as a gift but when it was delivered my landloard signed for it before checking.*STUPID* And the passanger side tip was chipped, about 1/2 inch missing!
So I am selling this one and he is paying for the rest of a new one in mint condition!
I figure 500 is good. it cost 810 shipped.

You can make it look better but never 100%

Not sure from the photo how much is missing. If you had the chipped off bit you could patch it but if there is just a bit missing, you're in trouble if you want it to just be all exposed CF.

BUT

If you want to paint the hood and just want it for (say) weight saving, then you could for sure patch it and then paint it and it would look perfect.

Or you could do something like paint the sides and leave a CF stripe down the middle, which would also look perfect since that part of the hood is mint.

Like this:



The chipped part would be filled out with an epoxy, shaped and sanded, and painted in the body color.

This is a smokin' deal if someone wants to work with a body shop to pull off a painted CF hood.

dude, all u have to do is call the company and they will pick that one up and then send u out a new one, i had 3 cf boser hoods sent to me this summer, all with a crack right in that exact same spot!

Yes Of course I called. I called NA motorsposts about 3 secconds after opening the package. Should I have called Euro Gear? I bought it through NAMotorsports.

It is a Euro Gear C/F Boser for a MK4 Jetta
Never even been on my car!

Says you have 21 days if you were shipping ups and they are feeding you BS.

yeah most companies will not let you open the package until you have signed for it anyway no matter what the damage is on the item.
