  • FS: 2007 GTI (lease take-over)

As I got a new job south of the border, I unfortunately have to sell my beloved GTI, which I have barely had for a year.
It is a 4-door 2007, United Grey, 6-speed manual transmission. It has a sunroof and cloth seats. The car has only 14,500 kms. It has only been dealer serviced, and is completely stock. It has been well cared for, and is in practically brand new condition.
Monthly payments are $463. There are 33 months left on the original 48 month lease. Lease end buyout is $16,363.
I will take car of the lease transfer fee for the new owner. I am located in Calgary, but I am willing to drive the car to the new owner, as long as it is not too far away.

That's okay. Yes it is a lease take-over, just like the above guy said.
Car is like new, and was not winter driven much last year. I can count the number of times!

People just don't understand leases I think.

Basically you get the car as though you got a 48 month lease, and he has paid the first 15 months or $7,000 of it.

This means you will pay $15,00 or so in payments and then you will have the option to buy the car for another $16,363.

Its a good deal if you were thinking of leasing one anyway, if its in new shape!

WOW $463.00 is a great deal for a monthly payment on a GTI.

The payment is pretty good, considering that the GTI is such a great car. It is in very good shape, basically brand-new!

I actually read that...I was wondering how much on top of the lease he was asking...because I have seen ppl do this too. I guess I will be more clear next time.

well typically the 'want out of leaser' has an incentive (www.leasebusters.ca) style where you offer the new buyer/takeover like 1000 bucks to take over your lease.. not saying you have to but it helps motivate somebody for sure

I do have an incentive that I can work out with the potential new owner.
This is all contingent on if they are approved by VW. Serious inquires into the car is hard to come by. I can't tell you how many low balling people have been so very "interested" in the car, only to turn out to be people wasting my time.
