  • '99 Golf Wolfsburg

    Hi,

I am selling my '99 Volkswagen Golf Wolfsburg Edition with 140,000km, its a 4 door, 5 Speed, 2 Litre 4 cylinder, with power everything (including sunroof), factory sport seats, cd changer, remote door locks. This car is rust free, and mechanically perfect.

I also have H&R ultralow coilovers and a sparco racing wheel that can be included.

I went and saw this car. Looks like a good little car, but I have to disagree about the rust free part just out of an obligation to be honest. The car has had a surface respray over the whole thing, and if you look along the edges you can see where it was painted. Also there is some rust bubbling up here and there, in small spots, possibly under the respray. If I remember there was at least a couple spots on the roof possibly where rock chips had exposed the metal and corrosion had started. They were very small. Anyway good car but not rust free in my opinion, as I was able to find rust happening.

Yeah, I meant to say practically rust free, there is some by the gas door, but not very much.

and I don't know what spots on the roof you are talking about.

Overall it has to be one of the cleanest mk3's for sale, I remember when I was looking, and most of them probably needed a new hatch.
