Don't listen to him Elliott. I'd love to have these as my winter wheels for the GLI. Would you consider splitting the tires from the rims?

Re: Feeler: audi TT "fat 5's"
find a set that are straight, and without marked-up faces for less then "burley". and for the record, the close-up shot of the wheel is of the wheel in the worst shape (as per someone's request via PM).
Derek, I'm not even sure I'm going to let the wheels go... so I don't think I'll be splitting them up yet. Just thought I'd see if someone wanted'em so that I could justify getting another set of wheels for the "fun car".

Re: Feeler: audi TT "fat 5's"
everyone seems to have an opinion.
1 wheel with very minor rash on the very edge... and tires that are in better shape than some other set that sold however long ago,. posted for a "feeler" price of $1300.
if you're interested in the wheels, make an offer to buy them. if you aren't interested, keep window shopping.

1.http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3514805 No pics but they were just posted up
2.http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3496393 little curbage but not bad plus they have better tire brand than yours.
thats just after five minutes of searching and oh yeah they are in USD so they are still cheaper then yours even with shipping
Oh and I would be interested if you didn't post such an outrageous price.

Re: Feeler: audi TT "fat 5's"
decent examples:
1. $800 for wheels and tires... of which you won't be able to see first-hand. the Kumho tires offered are the 711 model, which have been discontinued for quite awhile... for a reason. i'm not sure if you've ever shipped wheels and tires? But it isn't cheap, and certain risks are involved (damage, retarded brokerage fees via some shipping companies, etc.). i would plan for about $150 / $200 easy.
2. $1000 PLUS shipping. definately superior tires to mine. considerably less tread. wheels in about the same shape (judging by the pics).
I don't need to keep "defending" my asking price. If you don't like what I'm asking / don't have an offer, DON'T BUY WHAT I HAVE LISTED. Pretty simple. It would also be great if you quit posting in this thread.
Mods, if you'd like to delete the useless banter from this tread, feel free.

Re: Feeler: audi TT "fat 5's"
Its not banter its just stating facts that you are ripping people of if you expect anyone to pay that price.
Oh and the second link was to a set that are polished, not the same condition as yours. I'm just doing people a favor that think they are getting a good deal.
