sad, but true. you might at least have to knock off the cost of the timing belt service (1200$ish).

Honestly at that much left on the car you maybe lucky to just get someone to buy it out at what is left in payment as it is not worth to much more then $10k.

timing belt was qouted at 800ish from dubsport
As for having complete maintnence history on a tdi is important.
someone not using correct oil or maintaining it as it should be will
make for alot of problems. I could have got the same car with 120k for the same price i payed but with no history. I was looking on canada trader and cars with the same milage range from 10-17k. $12,400 doesnt seem high to me at all.

                Re: Feeler: 2001 Golf TDI

the problem is trying to find someone who appreciates the importance of the maintenance. I had mine for sale for a while, but just couldn't get what I thought it was worth, so i kept it. Oddly, nobody who called me wanted a standard either.
Also, when quoting repair prices, you'd be best to assume dealer prices, cause thats probably who the buyer will call to check.

Just so you know, if this is a finance contract, which I'm assuming it is, you cannot transfer your payments. The end buyer needs to get his or her own loan for the buyout price. If it was a lease the exact payment can be transfered. Good luck with the sale!

Bump. Timing belt, serpentine belt, tensioner, water pump, idler roller, mount strech bolts, engine mount to bracket bolts, cam seal, top/bottom rollers, injection pump sprocket bolts all just replaces.
