'97 Golf gti 2.0l 5spd with 169xxx km

mods:
FR lowering springs
abt front grille
vr6 front spoiler
custom side skirts
full 2.5" stainless steel exhaust with reactive muffler
neuspeed CAI, shift knob and boot
sony mp3/cd player with remote controler
etc.
The car is in the perfect condition and drives mint. Everything on/in the car works fine. It is daily driven. Also, there is no rust at all, rust proof done every year. Used only Castrol Syntec oil and it was changed every 3000km. Maintenance and other work on the car were done by VW/dealer, records and recepts are also available.

Well here's a bit of info for ya.
I got my 99 GTI VR6, with 80k on the clock for $12000.
That was a 99 with a VR6 and very low mileage. You're asking quite a bit for something nearing 200k, modded and an 8v.

As someone who has had a dozen or so cars and all of them modded to smoe extent I can tell you with great confidence that if you are fortunate you might get 25% of the value of the mods (not including labour).

I am not 'disrespecting' your integrity by saying so; you can ask whatever price you wish. Just brace yourself for the price you eventually get.

I have to agree, I'm afraid. I don't think anyone is trying to disrespect you, but just stating that this is quite over-priced.

It's also unfortunate that we don't ever see our money back from mods.

I'd like to see what exhaust system costs $1500 for that engine. A full turboback exhaust for a 1.8T including the downpipe by APR is around $1300 if I recall correctly and APR is one of the more expensive aftermarket parts manufacturer. You hope to get money back for your mods but if you don't get as much return, you may wanna look at parting it out if you want some money back but you get a 2001-2002 golf CL with around 100,000K for that price thesedays.

thanks everyone for the great advices, i know i can't get that money back that i put into, but sure its worth trying. I already got couple of offers and the highest was 8500. so ok, if somebody offers $9k, conside it sold! respond for 5000 offer, sorry but not interested!
