  • Stereo - Please help!!!

So, wierd question. It seems that I am able to turn my stereo on without key in the ignition or anything, and when I turn the car off the stereo stays on...any thoughts? I hadn't noticed it before until last night when I was removing the stock deck and pushed the power button, on she came. I think it was still So, put a new deck in the car, and no matter what it stay on, the wire that is supposed to be the 12+ ACC line feeds a constant 12V signal, so the deck never knows when to turn off. Anyone have any experience with this?? Any thoughts? I tested every wire in the factory harness, and not a single one seems to provide a switched 12V output. What should I do? I do not want to manually find\run an ACC line. DAMNIT!!!!

Using an Alpine CDA-9851 deck, and the proper harness adapter from Best kits to plug in... please help.

i think aleks had this problem recently... i believe you have to run your own switched lead from the fuse pannel. not too hard. i ran one for my radar detector.

i went through the empty slots for options i dont have with a test light to see what was switched. then just used a crimp on connector and inline fuse holder and ran the wire behind the dash.
